Just finished this one, it took a couple of days, I created it from 2 old paintings, I took photo's and did sketches from them to sort of combine the two and create a new painting. 36x60 oil on canvas.

Blue Pool Tables

this was a club in Coconut Grove Miami, back in the heyday, 1990's. I've been going back into some old sketches and photo's of various places to create some new paintings. This was the voodoo room at the Club St. Croix. This one is 24x36 oil on canvas.

This is the most popular street that I know. Lots of restaurants, sidewalk cafe's, art galleries. A favorite hang out for many local artists. Lots of stuff to paint.

Sazio's, one of my favorite restaurants. i's on Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach, very popular, it's hard to get a table on the weekend. I think this is my fourth painting of this place. love it

this was a little dinner party with consider the violet and jan and jerry's house. we had a great time, the food was good too. i took a lot of photos and sketched. i like to work from several photo's which i put on the floor and a really good sketch that has the layout of the painting.

an old painting i dug out of the closet, it wasn't quite right so i worked on it til i was happy with it. it was a place in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl on Las Olas Blvd. the guy with the sax is stan street, it was his birthday, my friend cliff & i were there . it was around 1997. the good old days in sofla.

this is a painting that's been sitting around in my closet for years, i never liked it and wanted to restretch it a different size and just finish it. well i finally did it. it was started at cafe tu tu tango where i used to paint, it was martini night, and they had a live blues band on the terrace.

This is an oil painting, 14x11 of a place on Lincoln Road, famous tourist attraction in South Beach.
I was there one afternoon and took a few photo's, went home printed them out and did a couple of small paintings. I think I'll do larger ones, I like Sobe.

This is one of the many bar scenes that I like to do, studies of life. This is a cool place in Boca Raton, Mizner Park (the pink city). It's known for being a singles place and just has the best layout for a painting. I have painted this place numerous times and never get tired of it.

This is an 12x16, oil on canvas. It is my daughter Angie, one of my favorite subjects to paint. I used to paint in a restaurant in Coconut Grove, Miami years ago. That's where I would paint the bar, the diners, dancers, musicians, magicians and of course, my favorite, the fortune teller. Now I take photo's and sketch on site, then paint back at my studio. I'll do some paintings from life, then I may do the same scene in a more abstract style. I just did this painting and will probably make a similar one large, because I really like it.
